Std IX & X – English Elocution Competition 2025-26

Balmohan Vidyamandir conducts English Elocution Competition in collaboration with The Forum of Free Enterprise jointly with M.R Pai Foundation. For the Academic Year 2025-26, this competition was held on August 7, 2025, which was a vibrant display of articulate expression, public speaking skill and stage confidence. Students delivered impactful speeches on thought provoking topics such as:
- Why I Want to Join the Defence Forces?
- Importance of Time Discipline.
- Benefits of Reading Newspapers.
There were ten finalists for the event today, which was judged by Smt. Rasika Panicker, Founder – Director of Rosary High School and Adv. Trupti Kotibhaskar, Advocate at the Bombay High Court.
We are grateful for their gracious presence and valuable insights. The judges were appreciative of the confidence with which our Students put forth their views.
Urmika Godbole – Std X B was adjudged the Best Speaker and won a cash prize of Rs.1250/- sponsored by The Forum of Free Enterprise. She will represent Balmohan Vidyamandir at M. R. Pai Foundation Elocution Competition – Mumbai Level.
The First Runner Up was Anvee Ajgaonkar – Std X A who won a cash prize of Rs.1000/- and the Second Runner Up, Nitya Pawar – Std IX A walked away with a prize of Rs.750/-. The finalists received valuable feedback from the judges after the event, who suggested measures which could further enhance their oratory skills.
The anchors of the event – Ranadheer Gujjeti – Std X A and Risheet Morwekar – Std X B did a phenomenal job and were appreciated by the Principal.
Heartfelt appreciation to the Teachers for mentoring the participants and to the judges for their fair and insightful evaluation. The event truly celebrated the art of effective speech.
